Dan & Katie's Wedding
We are so excited for our friend Dan, who we call "Uncle Dan" because he has been so sweet to Isaac. Dan and Katie got married this weekend! We have prayed for Dan to find a wife, and even tried to assist him in his search. We are thankful the Lord put her in his life. Adam got to stand with his friend on his special day, and Isaac was given the duty of handing out sparklers (with Anna from church). Grandmama and Aunt Karen attended with wedding with us, and we had a great time!

Roo Bear Run....Isaac's 1st Race
We participated in the Roo Bear Run in memory of our friend's daughter who passed away, Reagan (who was nicknamed Roo Bear) and to help raise money for Courageous Kids. Isaac first ran in the kid's Fun Run. At first he looked really nervous and uncertain of what to do since this was his first race ever. I actually thought he was going to back out. Once the other kids started to fun, Isaac decided to join in (even though he got a late start). He finished and then was awarded a medal, like all of the other kids. Isaac finished in the middle of the pack.
I then attempted to walk the 5K, but it was basically a disaster. Eli was really fussy. I had originally planned to have each kid in a stroller, and have our good friend Kim push one. Well, one of the strollers malfunctioned and Isaac couldn't walk the entire distance, so we just stopped and played on the playground. There was a raffle after the race, and I actually was the first name drawn. I won a pack of huge muffins. I was excited because it's only the second time I've ever won anything in a drawing. I also discovered from the race that Smucker's Uncrustables (peanut butter and jelly sandwiches) are pretty tasty! Isaac enjoyed playing with Joseph, a friend from church, after the race. We had a good time with our friends, supporting a good cause!

Jacky & Rob's Wedding
We are so excited for Jacky and Rob! Jacky is like family to us all, and I was honored to be a part of her special day! She was a beautiful bride, and I enjoyed standing with her at her wedding!
It was a bittersweet weekend though. Even though all the family came together for this fun time, we also were worried about sweet Anna Katherine. Anna Katherine had some abnormal blood work results, leaving us with concern for her and the possibility of her having leukemia or another disorder. The weekend was full of many prayers lifted up to our Father for Rob and Jacky's marriage and Anna Katherine's health.

Homework for a Heart Stick- Isaac's 1st homework assignment
Isaac came home from preschool with his first homework assignment from Mrs. Perkins. He had to trace the dotted lines on his worksheet with crayons. Completion of this assignment gave him a heart stick. Heart sticks are typically earned by being obedient, helping others, following directions, etc. At the end of each week, if the student has a certain number of heart sticks, they get to pick an item from the treasure chest! Isaac was proud!
