Feelin' Good

Just wanted to write a quick note to thank everyone for praying for Isaac. The doctor told us Monday that his ear infections are gone. He only has to go to a specialist if it returns within a month. He now weighs 15 pounds and 1 ounce.

We also want to welcome baby Kaydon into the family! She is so precious.

A Time of Thanksgiving

We are so thankful for our little guy. He is continuing to grow and develop. It's amazing to see what he is going to do each day. The other day he just started laughing! Adam and I just cracked up with him. It was so funny hearing him laugh! He is much more animated now. He is able to sit by himself for short periods of time while playing. He is also using his stomach muscles to pull himself into a sitting position. He often wakes himself up at night because he rolls so much. He is making lots of sweet baby sounds and grunting noises. My favorite thing is his sweet little smile. He can be crying...then when given some extra attention, can put on a smile in seconds. He also smiles really big when he is held into a standing position. He loves it! He also tries to put everything in his mouth, including my nose or any part of my face he can get close enough to.

Isaac has been struggling with a double ear infection. He has tried 5 different antibiotics and nothing seems to be doing the job. This is our prayer request.

Just wanted to put some pics on the blog from Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time with our family! We enjoyed the beautiful music that Uncle Eric, Eric's dad (Ron), and Joe provided (the cello and piano). We enjoyed everyone eating at the same table at the Wallace's...and that's a lot of people at one table. It really was so nice having family togetherness. We also had fun spending time with the Coats' side of the family (thanks Ronnie for your generosity). We missed little Amy this year...she was sick with the stomach virus (yuck) and John..who had to work (yuck also).

We are blessed to have such a great family and friends. We have so much to be thankful for, and to God be the glory!

Is he ferocious, or what?

Well, Halloween came quickly this year it seemed. Since I am back to work, and working on Fridays, Isaac stayed at Gran and Grandad's house. Isaac's Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Eric took him trick-or-treating on Halloween! After going to a couple houses, our little "Tiger" was already ready to rest and eat again before going back out on the town. Isaac seemed to have a fun first Halloween! Uncle Eric took some video footage for us so we could also experience what Isaac's first Halloween was like, since we did not get home from work in time to experience it ourselves. Is he ferocious or what?

This week I had to take Isaac to the doctor. He has his first ear infection. The doctor gave us some recommendations to do at home and an antibiotic. Isaac seems to be feeling much better, but you can still pray for a quick recovery for him. Today was a good day, and he smiled a lot! At the doctor, I was told he weighs 13 pounds 15 ounces. It's amazing how quickly babies grow and change. He found his feet a few weeks ago. It is so cute watching him look at and grab his little feet! He is starting to chew everything he can get his hands on. He is also really starting to feel things more. He likes to feel his own hair, touch my face, feel blankets, etc. He is constantly exploring with his hands, mouth, and eyes. He is like a sponge...always looking and learning new things. He likes to be where all the action is and in new surroundings. He loves going shopping, outside, restaurants, new homes, etc.

I just stare at him every day and thank God for such a special blessing! Isaac is so sweet and his smile makes me melt instantly. I almost cry just thinking about how much he and Adam mean to me. I can't imagine life without them. It's hard to remember what we did before Isaac arrived. We love him very much!!!

Here are some other pictures. Sorry about the first 2 being upside down (not sure what happened there...but they were too cute not to include).

That's all for now!
