Our Blessing

Well, Isaac is now over two weeks old. It has definitely been an adjustment having our little guy at home, but he has already been such a blessing to us! We are getting to know Isaac...his cries, his face expressions, and his actions. He is a really good baby. Our primary struggle has been that Isaac seems to have reflux. This has made our after feeding time difficult at times.

Below are some pics of Isaac practicing his motor skills.

(Uncle Eric and Aunt Stephanie gave him his outfit).

Our little Superman is learning how to fly!

Being parents is wonderful, but definitely a lot of work. When we first brought Isaac home, we were definitely those over reactive new parents. It was difficult not knowing what is normal and what is not. We have so much to learn, but are feeling more comfortable in the our new role as parents. We want to teach him everything we know, show him love in all we do, and most importantly, teach him of God's love. Being pregnant and then becoming a mother has been the most wonderful experience of my life. It reinforces to me that God is in total control, and that babies are such miracles. Being a mother gives me a new purpose for my life.
Since Isaac has been home, his grandparents have really helped out in so many ways. We are not sure what we would have done without them. They all love him so much. Isaac is fortunate to have such loving and caring grandparents!
Isaac has had many first experiences such as... first bath (which he did not enjoy very much; although, he liked having his hair washed), first book read to him, first smile (which is probably due to gas), first church service, and first trip out of town (to grandparent's house). Isaac really loves being walked around, riding in a car, and taken outside (this is especially helpful when he is fussy). We have found that he loves music, especially his daddy's guitar playing and singing. It is amazing to see Isaac change daily. He is becoming more and more alert. He is so precious and we love him so much. We do not want to take even one day for granted! God has truly blessed us with our baby Isaac! We are so thankful for him!

His first bath (he did not like being cold, but loved getting hair washed).

Isaac is not sure what to think about these creatures in his room.

Sweet Isaac sleeping soundly... his favorite pasttime.

His other pastime... being held!

He is such a blessing straight from God!

There will be more to come on the blog as Isaac continues to grow.
