Stepping Stone

I got a big idea to make stepping stones with the boys' footprints for Mother's Day for the grandmothers and myself.  I'm not typically a crafty person, but it's something I wanted to try.  I looked online and realized that it's less expensive to just buy the concrete and everything for the stone, rather than buying a kit (since I was going to make several).  This was my first attempt at making a stepping stone, and I have to admit....it was a total disaster.  I apparently did not get the consistency of the concrete right.  I first tried doing footprints since it was a stepping stone, but you couldn't even tell they were feet.  As a back-up plan and to prevent wasting my time and money, I did their handprints.  I had intentions of putting letters to spell their names, but it was impossible.  Not only did I  not get their feet and names on the stone, but Eli disliked every minute of it, and it was all over the boys. Even though it's not great, here's my final product.  At least you can kind of tell they are handprints.  Isaac was 4 and Eli was 10 months old.  Now I just need to find a place in our yard to put it.  Happy Mother's Day to me!!!
