Isaac's 2nd birthday party!!!

Choo-Choo Isaac is 2!!!!

It is official, Isaac is 2 years old! I cannot believe how time flies! This year, we celebrated Isaac's birthday by having a party at home with family and some of his little buddies. We had a choo-choo train theme (for the invitations, decorations, and cake). We had a kiddy pool and slip-n-slide set up for the kids, as well as a bubble station, and the swing set that his Daddy, Grandad, and Grampie just recently finished building. I have to say, the sand box seemed to be the most popular. Isaac also really loved the kiddy pool! He would just jump into it headfirst, repetitively!

Attendees included: Daddy and Mommy, Grandad and Mimi, Grampie and Grandmama, Nanny and RG, the Wallace's, the Russell's, the Morgan's (cousin Christopher), Amie (and cousin Jenna), the Joyce's, the Nelson's, the Reed's, the Thomas's, the Skagg's (and friend Avery), teachers from his preschool (Mrs. Kristen, Ms. Jennifer, and Ms. Melissa), the Franco's (Dhavid friend from preschool), the Lewis's (friend Logan), the Arnold's (friend Austin), Tiffany (and friend Charlie).

While the kids played, we ate pizza, fruit, veggies, and chips and just sat around outside and talked to everyone. Once we had all eaten, we decided just to bring the cake and presents outside, rather than trying to get everyone to come inside. Isaac blew out his candle and really enjoyed his cake! He had talked about eating his "big cupcake" a couple days leading up to the party, so he was excited!

Isaac received so many neat and fun gifts! He was not able to stay focused on opening all his gifts because he wanted to try out each cool gift he got. For instance, he saw some swords sticking out of one of the packages, and I had a hard time getting him to calm back down to open the next gift. Eventually I just lost him completely and had to finish opening the remainder of his gifts. I felt kind of bad, but that is just how things go with a 2-year old.

We want to thank everyone for celebrating Isaac's birthday with us, and even those who were unable to attend the party but with thinking of him. We want to especially thank the grandparents, the Reeds, and Nanny and RG for helping bring tables, games, and setting things up for the party. Thank you Grandad, Grampie, and Adam for making the swingset, which was enjoyed by all the kids at the party! We also appreciate Isaac's teacher, Mrs Kristen, for taking such wonderful pictures to help us remember this day! We love you all, and appreciate you all for helping to make Isaac's birthday a special time! God has blessed us with a sweet boy, and we love him so much. Thank you all for loving him too!
