9 month check-up

Isaac is now 9 months old. He is very busy, and walking pretty well. He can walk about 20 feet without falling or stopping. He tries to climb on everything and definitely takes his share of falls. I just can't believe how quickly he is growing into a little boy. It's kind of sad, but on the other hand...despite his business and always trying to get into everything, he seems much happier (now that he is more mobile) and life seems a little easier. It's amazing how much better we all feel getting a full night of uninterrupted sleep!
I took Isaac to the doctor today for his 9 month well check-up. Thankfully he did not have to get shots this time. He did have a prick in his toe to check his iron level, which was normal. We did find out that Isaac is too little and needs to consume more calories daily, partly because he is so mobile for his age and burns a lot of calories. He weighed 17 pounds 6 ounces (4th percentile), is 27.5 inches tall (16% percentile), and has a head circumference of 45 cm (33 percentile). The doctor wants him to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks per day in addition to his regular milk feedings. We have to go back in a month to have his weight checked out. She also wants us to feed him more protein and more table foods.
That's all for now.

He needs to beef up and Braxton needs to slim down. That's funny, as Brax is only 7 months old and weighs 20 lbs.

Hey Sarah - Your little guy is sooo adorable! I love all the pictures you have put up of him. He looks so much like you (don't tell your husband I said so)!
